the way the narrator talks about her one night stand is really lovely, even with the sadness and disappointment she feels in herself. altho obviously she's not totally wrong, because there was something about her that attracted this really beautiful guy, and he seems to have really enjoyed being with her.

(and i too really liked the matter-of-fact details about the narrator being muslim and observing ramadan, the way they're just mentioned in passing.)
